SMDC and QCPD work to provide Filipinos with job possibilities.

Despite a decline in COVID-19 cases in the country, the unemployment rate has risen to 6.6 percent, still still below pre-pandemic levels.

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, more than three million Filipinos are unemployed as of December 2021. Despite the fact that this is much lower than prior years, community builders such as SM Development Corporation (SMDC) recognize the importance of continuing to assist communities in regaining their footing.

The SMDC recently partnered with the Quezon City Police District for its Good Guys Job Market Caravan, which provided employment options to displaced Filipino workers.

With the pandemic's negative effects still being felt, SMDC's Good Guys Job Market Caravan provides fresh chances to those who have lost their jobs as a result of the crisis.

SMDC also gave free medical check-ups and vaccinations to job hopefuls during the employment fair. The cooperation of the QCPD made police clearance processing even more convenient on the ground.

The Good Guys Job Market Caravan has already visited other areas and given talented workers with job prospects. The premier real estate developer collaborates with the SM Foundation, the Philippine Red Cross, local police districts, and Local Government Units (LGUs) in all of these endeavors, as well as inviting its suppliers and contractors who require masons, electricians, and housekeepers, among other services.

SMDC is committed to assisting and uplifting the communities in which it operates. The Good Guys Job Market Caravan is just one of the projects demonstrating the value of public-private partnerships in building stronger and more resilient communities.

The Good Guys Job Market Caravan will be expanded by SMDC to all cities in the Philippines. Visit the SMDC website or follow @TheOfficialSMDC on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube to learn more about the Good Guys Job Market Caravan and other SMDC projects.
